MINDGLO
MINDGLO, Bayless School District's gifted program, serves approximately 5% of the students in grades one through five. Students who participate in the program are those children "who exhibit precocious development of mental capacity and learning potential, and who require a stimulating academic environment beyond that offered through standard grade level curriculum".

About MINDGLO
MINDGLO, an acronym for Meeting Individual Needs by Developing Gifted Learning Opportunities, is staffed by a teacher with a Master's Degree and Gifted Certification. The program provides challenging activities incorporating higher level thinking and skill use, Project Lead the Way STEM curriculum, and support for the unique social and emotional needs of gifted children. First through fifth grade gifted students meet one morning or afternoon, weekly, in room 121 Elementary Annex.
Once identified, students may continue to participate in MINDGLO each year through the end of fifth grade. Gifted students are expected to meet high academic standards and social expectations of the school community. |
